This five-course, interactive masterclass series is designed for municipal event professionals who want to refine and enhance their skills to manage safer, smarter, and more strategic events and teams.
Through practical, self-guided online learning, participants will explore key principles and practices that support effective municipal event planning, delivery, and leadership. The flexible learning model allows learners to complete online modules anytime, anywhere, and at their own pace, with one year to finish the full series.

The series combines independent online learning with opportunities for live peer engagement. Participants are invited to join live, facilitated virtual coaching sessions to connect with municipal event professionals from across Canada, share experiences, discuss common challenges, explore solutions, and apply course concepts to real-world event environments.
Learning is supported through interactive knowledge-testing activities embedded throughout each course module. There is no final exam or culminating evaluation. To successfully complete each masterclass, learners must achieve a minimum score of 75% on each knowledge-testing activity. Unlimited attempts are available, allowing participants to revisit content and demonstrate their understanding at their own pace.
Upon completion of the full series, participants will earn recognition as a Municipal Event Management Professional with the MEMS Certificate of Completion acknowledging their continued professional development and achievement.
